OUCH!
While doing 30 lb hammer curls last Saturday I felt a small "ping" like a rubber band snapping. My Tuesday workout was pretty good. I worked my arms hard and did not have any issues. But I was not able to curl very well and I stopped at 25 pounds. (15 reps each) I progress starting at 20, 25 then 30 pounds.
Today I can barely move my right arm. When I extend it out it hurts like hell. Pain meds last only a little while.
HOW DO I FIX THIS? HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
I can't manage transfers very well with a very sore arm.

I saw a doctor. He was as useless as tits on a nun. He did not tell me anything except now he wants me to get an mri. To hell with him. I am using a heating pad, ice and rest. That is working. My biceps are not hurting any more and my fore arm is getting better. I have stayed off the weights and bike for almost 3 weeks now. I should be able to hit the gym this week. There are times that I move my arm wrong and I get a lot of pain. Also my range of motion is still not like it was.

The doctor did not give me any advice only a bill. How in the hell did we practice medicine before we had an MRI? Good grief.

It took 6 weeks of doing nothing but my arm finally got better. I am now back in the gym and I am again able to curl 30 pounds. Please realize my trainer has me increasing the weight each time we exercise.
So the curls are 15 reps at 20 pounds, then another 15 at 25 pounds and the last set at 15 reps at 30 pounds. That last set is a killer. But I have also improved to now be able to shrug 50 pounds. (15 sets, 30 40 50 pounds)

Good to hear things your progressing after the set backs. You'll get stronger then you use to be! Keep it up!
