View Full Version : sick for like 2 weeks ahhhh!

I was very sick for two weeks. It was the flu or some sh. I was extremely worried that it would be hard to get back to the weights that I was lifting prior to my sickness. I worked out my pecs and tris last night and raised either weight or reps on every single workout and it seemed like I was fwucking HE MAN or something. Now, I think that I needed a break. I have heard that it is good to take a one week break after 3 months of lifting heavy. Is there any truth to that? They say it allows for your tendons and joints to heal or something. Probably, it is different for every lifter. I was also wondering if those burn machines would over work your shoulders if used 4 or 5 times a week?

You probably did. It's always good to give your body "enough" rest to heal itself instead of constantly breaking it down. Give it time to rebuild and re energize. And yes after a couple months non stop routine give your self a week rest and come back to hit the gym harder than ever.
